Day 17: Lesson learned

What was the best thing you learned about yourself this past year? And how will you apply that lesson going forward? -Tara Weaver
In 2010, I learned that my friends are my bread and butter; my family are my hitching post; and that I don't want to be far from these two groups of lovely people, ever.  This is the end of a dream to travel extensively as a crazy young person, but I'm getting older anyway.  My grandmother is probably hmrumping - "every stranger is a future friend, dear."  And I believe her, but without the stability and love of my favorites, I'm lost.

I might change my mind, get married, and run off to Dubai or Ireland or Madagascar.  But marriage is the only thing that's going to change my mind about that, I think.  Unless everyone in my family dies, in which case, no one will ever see me again because I'll move to a hut in the Tetons and only be accessible via snow mobile.

You might think I'm being shirty about this, but I'm not.  All of the above is truth.  NEXT.

So excited about #reverb10 and the opporunity that it provides "to reflect on what's happened, and to send out reverberations for the year ahead."
